arthur russell - 'you can make me feel bad'
what an amazing song. absolutely haunting sound. this is one of those rare songs that you can link directly to the "sound" of My Bloody Valentine. it has that wonderfully nauseated feeling to it. so many bands have tried to find that sound, who knew it only takes a cello and a few guitar pedals.
angel corpus christi - femme fatale
i'm always a sucker for a clever cover and this one is very clever. warm and spaced out, the use of the accordian is perfect. an absolute must for any and all velvet underground fans. you can't help but sing along to this instrumental.
the bill wells trio - singleton
a really gentle piano based track that is perfect for staring out the window watching the clouds roll by. sometimes that's all that is needed from music. thanks for the break.
