Lately i've really been listening to alot of female artists, so todays lil' post will feature 3 lovely ladies.
Beach House - Gila
If you don't know Beach House I highly recommend buying, borrowing or stealing both of their albums Devotion and their self titled. They have a very hypnotic sound with a drum machine that produces a wonderful pulse for many tracks, subtle guitar and keys build up the layers. Sadly like many great acts they decided to call it a day, nothing to say on what the members are up to now. Anybody that has any information feel free to pass it on.

Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions - Charlotte
Hope's voice has always tugged on my heart strings for years now, this is one of the standouts on her first solo album Bavarian Fruit Bread. You can hear a slight nod to Fleetwood Mac on this one. NEWS ALERT: I hear through the grapevine that she has a new album out in the fall and also there's talk of another Mazzy Star album and even a tour. I guess good things do come to those who wait. and wait. and wait some more.

Sharon Van Etten - Consolation Prize
Ohh my if you have never heard Sharon Von Etten you are in for a fabulous treat. Remaining steeped in traditional folk muisc, she has the type of voice that sends shivers down your spine and makes your your belly feel warm. I can't say enough about this track, it's just her voice and a guitar, what more do you really need.
